At Frenchville Sports Club, we’re committed to creating a better future, on and off the field. From energy-efficient upgrades to reducing waste and supporting local suppliers, sustainability is built into the way we operate. Because strong communities deserve a healthy planet.

A major part of this commitment is our innovative solar-covered car park, spanning 1,799 square metres and delivering a 38% reduction in annual energy consumption. Featuring 622 bifacial solar panels across 197 parking spaces, the system generates clean renewable energy while providing shaded parking for members and guests.

The project now produces approximately 655 MWh of renewable energy annually, reduces CO₂ emissions by 524 tonnes each year, and delivers around $100,000 in annual energy savings. It also lays the foundation for future battery storage and electric vehicle charging infrastructure as we continue investing in smarter, more sustainable solutions for our community.
