2026 Fitzroy River Barra Bash

The 2025 Fitzroy River Barra Bash has wrapped up after another incredible year on the mighty Fitzroy!

With record-breaking catches, a huge turnout, and plenty of unforgettable moments both on and off the water, the event once again proved why it’s Central Queensland’s premier fishing competition.

Anglers from across Australia came together to compete for over $90,000 in cash, prizes, and giveaways and to chase down some of the biggest barramundi and threadfin salmon in the Fitzroy River’s net-free zone.

As we close the books on an outstanding 2025 Barra Bash, attention now turns to next year’s event.

The 2026 Fitzroy River Barra Bash will be held from 18th–21st October 2026, promising another weekend of world-class fishing, competition, and community spirit.
