Frenchville Sports Club was recognized as an industry leader at the annual Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence held at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.

The Club was proud to win the prestigious award of Club of the Year (Medium), a first for any Club in Central Queensland.

Frenchville Sports Club CEO Damien Massingham said he was extremely proud of the Club’s achievement and looks forward to where the Club is heading in the future.

“This award is a recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by our Board of Directors, Management, staff and volunteers over the past 75 years, and in particular the past 12 months. To receive this award as the Club celebrates its 75th anniversary is simply magnificent.”

“The Club was also proud to win Silver for the Special Achievement Award – Responsible Gambling and Silver for Best Sports Club. These accolades wouldn’t be possible without the strong support of our members and guests so a heart-felt thank you must go out to our Frenchville community”.

“A massive thank you particularly to the current sensational staff who deliver exceptional service to our members and guests day in, day out. It continues to be a challenging environment within the hospitality industry however this award is testament to their tireless dedication and commitment.”

“The current Board of Directors have steered the Club out of Covid well and their ongoing willingness to continually drive the Club forward definitely impressed the judges. We have some even bigger things planned for 2023 and beyond, so watch this space”, Mr Massingham said.

The Frenchville Sports Club would also like to take the opportunity to congratulate all the nominees and winners across all award categories.
