Frenchville Sports Club redevelopment wins best in the State
22nd October 2026
The Frenchville Sports Club redevelopment has received further recognition, with the
builders Ashley Cooper Construction winning the Retail Facilities over $5 million category for the entire state at the recent Queensland Master Builders Awards.
Frenchville Sports Club CEO Damien Massingham said the State recognition was a proud
milestone for the Club and its project partners. “To see the redevelopment recognised now at State level, is an amazing achievement for all involved” Mr Massingham said.
“Ashley Cooper Construction did an outstanding job delivering a major transformation while the Club remained operational. We congratulate their team on this well-deserved recognition and thank everyone who helped bring the project to life.”
The $25 million redevelopment was delivered across four major stages and transformed the Club’s facilities, including the Sports Bar, Embers Bistro, Aroma’s Café, Kids Clubhouse and Function Centre.
The project has created a more contemporary and versatile destination for members, families, sporting participants and the wider Central Queensland community. “From the outset, this project was about creating facilities our members and community could be proud of, while supporting the Club into the future,” Mr Massingham said.
“We also acknowledge BSPN Architecture, our local contractors and suppliers, our Board, staff and members for their significant contribution, which leaves a lasting legacy for our entire community.”
