Frenchville Sports Club Helps 13 Junior Athletes Take the Next Step
15th October 2026
Thirteen junior athletes from Central Queensland will receive extra support as they prepare for representative competition, following the latest round of Frenchville Sports Club's Junior Performance Program.
Round 3 of the 2026 program has provided over $4000 in funding to young athletes selected to compete for Capricornia, Queensland and Australia.
Of the recipients, eleven will represent Capricornia and two Queensland, with one athlete also selected at Capricornia, Queensland and Australian levels. The grants will help families cover travel, accommodation, uniforms, registration fees and other expenses that come with representative sport.
Since the program began in 2022, Frenchville Sports Club has contributed more than $50,000 to support junior athletes from across the region with representative opportunities.
Alongside funding, selected athletes can access strength and conditioning, nutrition advice and sports psychology services. The Junior Performance Program is made possible with the support of Thomo's Betta Home Living and Dr Bradley Richmond.
Frenchville Sports Club Chairman Graeme Brady OAM said the grants recognised the effort it takes to reach representative level.
“Selection is a special moment for any young athlete, but it comes after months and often years of work behind the scenes. “
“It takes commitment from the players and support from the people around them, and those efforts deserve to be recognised.”
“With travel and competition expenses adding up, these grants are intended to make the experience more manageable for families and keep young athletes focused on what they love doing.”
Congratulations to the Round 3 recipients: Ace Ahuriri, Billie Lindsay, Flynn Hamilton, Hayley Lewis, Kayden Sinnamon, Layla Sinnamon, Lyla Johnson, Matilda Lindsay, Oliver Bryan, Paige Poustie, Paxton Abell, Siarra Robertson, and Tadhg Molloy.
