Frenchville Sports Club Announces Construction Partner

Frenchville Sports Club today revealed the head contractor for its highly anticipated major renovations, scheduled to commence in early 2024.

Club Chairman, Graeme Brady OAM, said he was delighted to announce that Ashley Cooper Constructions have been appointed as head contractor for this transformative project.

“Ashley Cooper Constructions (ACC) brings a wealth of building experience in the club and hospitality industry, aligning seamlessly with the Club's vision for a modern and vibrant space that meets the future needs of our members and the community.” Mr Brady said.

“ACC will actively engage local subcontractors which will help inject significant economic benefit to our region and dovetails with Frenchville Sports Club commitment to supporting our local community.”

Luke Ashley-Cooper from ACC said, “his team is very excited about collaborating with Frenchville Sports Club and BSPN on the upcoming major renovation project.”

“The whole ACC team was heavily involved throughout the tender process and as such has a strong understanding of the Club and its member’s needs.”

ACC has delivered on a range of significant hospitality projects throughout Queensland and is now looking forward to partnering with Frenchville Sports Club to deliver the next chapter in its history.

Mr Brady also thanked the Clubs design and project manager partner, BSPN.

“BSPN have done an outstanding job, as the architect for the latest renovation of our club and have been extremely professional in helping manage the project to date.”

Luis Nheu from BSPN Architecture added their company was thrilled to have been on the journey with Frenchville Sports Club over the past two years with this project.

“BSPN Architecture is very proud to be involved, from the initial masterplan to working closely with the executive team and board. We can’t wait to commence this project on site with Frenchville Sports Club and ACC as it will be a benchmark project for the region.” Mr Nheu said.

This major renovation is scheduled to commence in February 2024, marking the beginning of a new era for Frenchville Sports Club. As the Club looks ahead to this exciting journey, members and the community can anticipate a revitalized and enhanced facility, providing an even more enjoyable experience for all.
