Frenchville Sports Club was recognised as a leader in the industry at the annual Clubs Queensland Awards held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre last week.
The Club was proud to receive first place for the Special Achievement Award – Responsible Gaming, an area the Club and its dedicated Concierge Team has been focusing on strongly.
Damien Massingham, Frenchville Sports Club General Manager said the award was a tribute to the dedication of Board Members and Staff, and the success must be attributed to the fantastic support of our members.
“The Responsible Gaming Award is one of the most important awards for our industry as responsible gambling is what we’re all about. We care about our community; we care about our members and we’re here to do whatever we can to assist them in every way we can.”
“A special congratulations must be made to Christine Lawrence, the Club’s Customer Engagement Officer, along with our wonderful Concierge Team. Without their efforts this award would not have been possible,” said Mr Massingham.
Along with the Special Achievement Award – Responsible Gaming, the Club also placed as finalist for both Club of the Year and Best Multi Sports Club.
“It’s a great achievement to be recognised as being in the top three within the State. Despite the past few years being a tough one economically for both our region and Club, Frenchville Sports Club continues to contribute over one million dollars to our community every year, which is more than three times the average of what Queensland Clubs generally contribute. “
“This fact along with the outstanding service from our great team were contributing factors for the Clubs success at the Clubs Queensland Awards. We are extremely proud of what has been achieved over the past year and look forward to many more accomplishments in the year ahead.” Mr Massingham said.
