The Frenchville Pioneers Rugby Club was formed in 1969, with many players including Stan Pelicki, Brendon Moon, Stephen Moore and Rod Davies winning Australian Wallabies selection.
In 1977 a soft drink factory was relocated to Primmer Oval to become the original club house. The Frenchville Pioneers Rugby Club then joined the Frenchville Sports Club in 1996.
